RIAT Disappointment

Well unfortunately the weather got the better of the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford this weekend which was a bitter disappointment to me as I have spent all year looking forward to it. Hopefully next year the show wont suffer and will bounce back and be bigger and better than ever.
On the plus side I got to go to Evesham River Festival where there was a Fly Past by a Lancaster Bomber and I also saw it again on the Sunday over my girlfriends parents house.

Wet Weather Camping

Just in the process of sorting my camping stuff out for tomorrows trip to RAF Fairford for the Royal International Air Tattoo, not looking too good on the weather front though. Apparently one campsite has been closed to new admissions on safety grounds and the one I normally stop at is under water in places but I have been told that loads of people left yesterday so I may be able to get on there. I hope I can get a place as it is the one trip away I really look forward to each year.
At the moment though I cant find the tent pegs so I may not be able to camp after all. As long as I have got all of my camera gear though, that is all that matters.

Rain, Rain Go Away

One thing to be said about all this rain, I don't have to go and water the garden now. All the plants seem to be thriving now because of it, even the slow growing ones and even the late planted marigolds have started to bud.. I'm still annoyed at getting wet this morning at work though.
I hope the rain has gone by Saturday and the ground has dried up a bit as I am going camping for the night.
